Our Stories: Who is the CCSP?

Who is the CCSP?

Parents from around our NSW/ACT Catholic Community just like you ...

CCSP Chair - Neisha

“Education is the most powerful weapon you
can use to change the world” Nelson Mandela

Neisha Licitra
has been a parent representative
for the Archdiocese of Sydney with the CCSP since
2010, as a representative on both its
State Council
and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI)
Parent sub-committee.

2017 is Neisha's second year as Chair of the CCSP.

Neisha and her husband Tore have three children,
aged 15, 12 and 10 years old.

"It’s really important for all parents to understand that their involvement and engagement
in learning can ensure their children have the best opportunities of reaching their true
               individual potential.

My main goal a CCSP Chair is to help reach out to parents and work
with the schools to
enhance what is already a strong, inclusive Catholic community. I want
to make a difference
and as Nelson Mandela puts it so beautifully, “Education is the most powerful weapon you
can use to change the world”.

Read how Neisha stays engaged with her children's education on a daily basis and what led her to volunteering first at her children's school, to now at the state level for the CCSP in Educating Neisha.
